Pay is for properties of the work, never for properties of the person.
Four components
Inspection stipend
Every call posts its price before you decide to look. A stipend is paid for a completed inspection whether or not you are chosen.
Production payment
Paid for the unit you produce and deliver.
Rights premium
Paid for the specific rights the license takes.
Usage pool
Shared when a unit is licensed again later.
The platform share
20% on a first license, 10% when a unit is licensed again, shown to you in dollars and percent on every offer before you accept; buyers pay separately for enforcement grades E2 and above and for managed programs.
How you get paid
- PayPal or Venmo. Minimum 10 dollars. The 25 cent fee is paid by us.
- Bank transfer. Minimum 50 dollars.
- Gift cards. Minimum 5 dollars, no fee.
Monthly on the first business day, plus on demand above the minimum. A W-9 is collected at your first withdrawal, and we file the forms the law requires.
Money releases when a buyer accepts the unit, and every rejection carries a reason you can appeal.
What we never do
- No per-gigabyte pricing.
- No pay keyed to who you are.
- No stories about whoever was paid the most.
Medians
We publish the median once enough people have been paid. Until then this page shows posted prices for specific calls and nothing else.
